APPLETON, Wisc. — The third annual Cabin Fever Kubb Tournament returns on Jan. 25. This indoor sand tournament will once again be held at GameDay Sports Bar on their indoor volleyball courts. With food and drinks right off the pitch, you’re sure to have a great day of kubb!
Teams should consist of two to six players, and the tournament will be capped at 24 teams. The Kubb United Rules for Open play will be used. There will be six rounds of 25 minute games, but you won’t have to worry about ties, as they plan to use accelerated finish for incomplete games. The top eight teams advance to the championship bracket, while the remaining slot into the consolation. The top four teams in each bracket will receive awards.
After the fourth round, there will also be a skills competition. The winner of this side-game will receive a custom trophy. A 50/50 raffle is also planned. A large portion of the registration and proceeds from the tournament will benefit a needy family.
