LAMBERTON, Minn — The fourth Hot Iron Days Kubb Tournament is continuing its partnership with the Hot Iron Days festival. Surrounded by arts, crafts, kids activities, and volleyball, the highlight of the event is the hot iron pour—a unique opportunity to see and participate in iron casting. You can create your own clay mold and later on you’ll experience the excitement of seeing the process of the hot iron getting poured onto the clay and after it cools, you can bring home your Iron creation.
The tournament is being directed by Phil Goetstouwers, who is part of Chaska Kubb Club. Last year, Ford Rolfsrud and Kaia Rolfsrud (Daka and the Schmoodles) of Minneapolis won the 16 team tournament. The tournament will start with group play with the top eight teams advancing to the championship bracket. Awards will be given to the top three teams in the championship bracket and consolation champion. This is a two-person tournament meant as a fun, family, friendly, non-serious competitive tournament. Registration is in the morning the day of the event.
