DECORAH, Iowa. —The Nordic Fest kubb tournament is back in the kubb circuit after a one year hiatus. The tournament, held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 in Decorah, Iowa at Decorah Middle School will be directed by Jason and Dee Dee Halvorson. There will be no registration fee for this tournament and there will be a limit of 20 two to six person teams. There will be no online registration, and sign ups will be held between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at Decorah Middle School. There will also be open pitches while registration is open. Friendlies and kubb lessons for anyone who stops by will also be available.

The tournament will start at approximately 1:30 p.m., but this could change slightly depending on the length of the parade. This will be a five round Klassic style tournament, one game each round with a 25 minute time limit. After the qualifying rounds, the top eight teams will be placed into a single elimination championship bracket that will change to best of three matches. The next eight highest finishing teams (nine to 16) will be placed in a one game (25 minute time limit) consolation bracket. There will be trophies for the top three finishing teams in each bracket
