APPLETON, Wisc. — The Cabin Fever Kubb Tournament returns to GameDay Sports Bar in Appleton, Wisconsin on Saturday, Jan. 29. This indoor tournament takes place on the sand volleyball courts attached to the bar, making it a winter tournament you won’t need to bundle up for!
Two-person minimum teams are required, and the field will be capped to a total of 24 teams. The Kubb United Rules for Open Play will be used, including the 100 percent in and neighbor rules.
The format will consist of seven qualifying rounds of 25 minute games. After this, the top eight teams will move to a championship bracket where matches become best-of-three games. The remaining teams will continue on to a silver bracket, where single game matches will be used. There will be awards given to the top four finishing teams of each bracket.
No outside food or drink is permitted, but the GameDay staff will be on hand to make sure you’re neither hungry nor thirsty.
