Kubb Match Monday: 2019 Virtual World Kubb Fall League Finals

To follow up last week’s Kubb Match Monday video of the 2019 Virtual World Kubb Spring League Finals, this week will take us to the Fall League finals. Johan Lode Lundin, a resident of the island of Gotland, Sweden takes on John Oman of Chaska, Minnesota. The league of 32 players consisted of 10 Europeans and 22 Americans. Sweden, Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic and the USA were all represented. Lundin and Oman had met in their regular season group play, where Lundin won dominantly four games to one. Oman had to play very well just to get one point. That one point enabled him to tie for second with Aaron Bauer of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Oman had the tiebreaker due to his 3-2 win in their match, which qualified him for the championship bracket of eight players. Oman came away with the number two seed and Lundin the one seed from their group going into the bracket. These two would rematch in the finals, which is this week’s featured video.
