STAR PRAIRIE, Wisc. — The 2017 Star Prairie Kubb Championship will be held June 17, 2017. This is a three person tournament held in the outfield grass at the Star Prairie Ball Park and run by Tournament Director Rick Larson. Proceeds from the tournament go to benefit the Star Prairie Community Club. The top three teams will all receive awards, and there will be a cash pay out to the winners.
Last year, the eight team tournament was won by Kubb-Tastic (Bryan Cook, Rick Larson, Ben Nygaard). This year, they are expecting as many as 30 teams for the event. This tournament will likely be a DMK Klassic style tournament with the top teams qualifying for a championship bracket. Food and drinks will be available at the event, and you are kindly asked not to bring any outside food and drinks. There will be post tournament activities going on, including fast-pitch softball tournament, live music, and a stand up comedian. More event details can be found on the Facebook event page.
