Superior, Wisc. — This year’s Lake Superior Ice Festival adds a kubb tournament thanks to the local Lake Superior Kubb club. The tournament will consist of round robin play (five rounds are planned) followed by bracket play. The top three teams in the gold bracket and the top teams in the silver and bronze brackets will walk away with trophies. The U.S. National ruleset will be used.
Up to 24 teams can register, and teams should consist of two to six players each. Registration is $45 per team and can be found online.
The hope is for this tournament to become an annual part of the festival held on frozen Lake Superior, just off the shore of Barkers Island.
