July is all about Eau Claire, Wisconsin! Championship weekend kicks off on Friday with the U.S. Junior Kubb Championship. Kid Kubb has been a staple for the last decade and an excellent way to scout the upcoming kubb talent—just look at recent national champions, Kubboom Jr. Registration is open to anyone entering eight grade or younger.
Saturday is a fully day of kubb! This year’s record-breaking 144 spots filled up fast. Like in years past, the morning starts with group play, followed by multiple brackets in the afternoon. Ultimately, the final 16 will return on Sunday morning to earn a trip to The Cage—two pitches surrounded by a big crowd. From that point, it only takes four wins to lift the Stapp King, but they won’t come easy.
