DALLAS, Wisc. — Six-person kubb returns for the the thirteenth installment of the Dallas Oktoberfest Kubb Tournament. The second longest tournament in North America will once again follow the U.S. National rules, but require six players per team, and at least two drillers. No inkaster can throw kubbs on consecutive turns.
The tournament will begin with round-robin play within groups of six teams. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Championship Bracket. The next two teams go to the Silver Bracket, with the final two teams going into the Bronze Bracket. The tournament will be capped at 24 teams.
The kubb tournament is just one of many events happening during the Dallas Oktoberfest. The village is hosting a weekend full of things to do including a pancake breakfast, an art fair, a dog costume contest, and live music. The full event list and scheduled times can be found on the Valkyrie Brewery website.
