EAU CLAIRE, Wisc. — The Eau Claire Kubb League is teaming up with the family of Orion Miller to host a tournament that is friendlier to those players who might not be morning people. The Eau Claire Orion Charles Miller Kubb Tournament doesn’t get under way until 2 p.m., and will run into the night while players battle under the lights at Fox Run Tavern. If you’ve ever thought kubb tournaments started to early, this is the one for you!
The Klassic system will be in use to determine seeding into championship and consolation brackets. Teams can be any size, but must be at least two players. Groups are encouraged to play with as many friends as they please, but no one player may throw more than two batons in a row, and no more than three on a turn. The tournament is friendly to both new and experienced players.
Fox Run has a full-service bar and food menu, so libations and fare will be readily available to hungry and thirsty players.
Funds raised from the tournament will be donated to the Eau Claire Humane Society in Orion Charles Miller’s memory.
