ELVERSON, Penn. — The East Coast Kubb Championship returns to Livingood Park in Elverson on Saturday, Aug. 18. Like last year, the tournament will use Country Kubb sets and the U.S. National rules will be in effect. In addition to the standard rules, the neighbor rule and the ability for the offense to remove the center stake after inkasted kubbs are stood up will be used.
The first tournament saw 20 teams from nine states compete and Tournament Director Bob Hickes hopes to make it even bigger this year. You can check out the official team list to see currently registered teams.
Pitches will be open friday afternoon after they’ve been marked (planned to take place around 1 p.m.). Friday evening there will be a meet up, which will be announced on Facebook and Twitter when the details are set. There will also be a gathering after the tournament on Saturday, which will also be announced via Twitter and Facebook.
