EAU CLAIRE, Wisc. — The fifth annual Pre-Championship Kubb Tournament will be held once again at the Eau Claire Soccer Park, which the site of the U.S. National Championship, making this an ideal warm-up for that tournament just a couple weeks later. This tournament is a two to six person tournament using the U.S. National Championship rules. Registration is free and you can register by emailing Patrick Klages at pklages1@gmail.com to ensure your spot in the tournament.
This edition of the tournament will take place on June 30 at 9 a.m. and will conclude around 4 p.m. where everyone will be encouraged to head to Lazy Monk Brewing, where there will be some free food along with the team draw for the U.S. National Championship will be held starting at 5 p.m. This is the first year that they will have both events held on the same day, so this will make for great day full of kubb. For lunch, the Hickory Kist BBQ will be onsite with a food truck, and you are encouraged to get a great lunch there.
