KASSON, Minn. — The sixth annual Kubbing to Kick Cancer tournament will take place on June 9, 2018. Dee Dee and Jason Halvorson once again invite players of all skill levels to join them in the Relay for Life fundraiser at Veterans Memorial Park in Kasson.
The tournament will be capped at 48 teams of two to six players. The U.S. National rules will be used with the Klassic system format. The first seven rounds of play will be single game matches with a 25 minute time limit. At time, batons must be dropped (don’t finish the turn). After qualification rounds, teams will be split into the championship and consolation brackets. The top eight move to championship with the remainder in the consolation. Awards will be given to the top three teams of the championship bracket and consolation bracket.
Lunch will be available for purchase from Triple T BBQ Team. In addition to the kubb tournament, there will also be a silent auction table, t-shirts, and tribute kings, all with the goal of raising money for the American Cancer Society.
