THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. — Thief River Falls Kubb moves things inside for their next event, the TRF Indoor Kubb 1v1 Tournament. It will be held at local bar, Rusty Nail, on Feb. 25, 2018.
The tournament is capped at 18 players and registration is only $10. The U.S. National Kubb rules will be used alongside a triple elimination, single-game series format. As the name suggests, this a one player versus one player tournament, so no need to find a tournament. The pitch will be 24 feet by 16 feet (roughly 7.3 meters by 4.9 meters) and will be walled off with barriers around the perimeter.
The first indoor tournament in Thief River Falls was held in 2011 in the Dawg House Restaurant. Since 2013, it’s been at the Rusty Nail. This tournament usually has a healthy crowd of spectators and should make for a lively winter Sunday.
