ELY, Minn. — The fourth annual Ely Winter Festival Kubb Tournament will be held Saturday, Feb. 10 as part of the Ely Winter Festival. Teams should be made up of three to six players, and can register online.
The structure of the tournament is not yet known, but will be determined after a better idea of the number of teams playing is known. The intention is to do group play in the morning, followed by a playoff bracket in the afternoon.
In addition to the tournament, registered teams will receive an Ely Winter Festival button (good for entry to other festival activities). There will be prizes given to the top three finishing teams.
Last year’s tournament was won by St. Paul Kubb Society of Minneapolis and St. Paul. More information about the Ely kubb scene can be found on their website.
