EAU CLAIRE, Wisc. — The inaugural Co-Ed Kubb Championship, co-hosted by the Eau Claire Kubb League and the U.S. National Kubb Championship, will be held Saturday, Aug. 26. This is a fundraiser to benefit Prevent Suicide Chippewa Valley Coalition.
The tournament will be played on sand outdoors at Wagner’s Lanes and The Complexx. Teams must be a minimum of three players and contain at least one male and one female. The teams will be placed in four groups of six teams and compete against each team in their group. The top two teams from each group will be placed in the championship bracket, third and fourth finishers will go into the silver bracket, and the remaining teams will enter the bronze bracket. Silver and bronze bracket matches will be one game each, and teams will play out to their final standing. Championship bracket matches will be best-of-three. Medals will be awarded for each bracket, and a free pizza or appetizers will be given to bracket winners.
