STOUGHTON, Wisc. — The fourth Annual Stoughton Kubb Invitational returns to the soccer fields of Virgin Lake Park. Last year the tournament hosted 29 two to six player teams, currently 10 are registered. The tournament format again this year is an eight round Klassic style opening with an eight team championship bracket and a 16 team consolation bracket. Last year the event was won by the Kubb Snipers, a team made up of Chad Bevers and Matt Green.
Proceeds from the event will go to support local charities. There will be cash prizes and trophies for the top finishing teams. The tournament is hosted by the Sons of Norway Mandt Lodge.
The Stoughton Kubb Tournament is the third event of the Cheddar Curtain Tour. In the current Cheddar Curtain tour standings The Northmen have an excellent opportunity to take the lead in the team standings while strong performances by Dave Giese or Chad Bevers could propel them ahead of Darren Finger.
