SOUTH PASADENA, Calif. — The L.A. Kubb Club is back with the second annual West Coast Kubb Championships. The tournament takes place in sunny South Pasadena on Sunday, April 23. There should be at least 20 two to six person teams competing in this year’s tournament. Team Hodges (Chris and Mark Hodges) were last year’s champions.
Play will begin with the DMK system. After the qualifying rounds, the top eight teams will be seeded into a championship bracket, while the remaining teams will compete in the silver bracket. Custom made trophies will be award to the top three teams. Submarine sandwiches and other snacks will be sold at the event. There are also a few other lunch options nearby.
Prior to the event, on Saturday, there will be a casual clinic and friendly matches. After the tournament, Tournament Director Joe Zenas will be hosting a barbecue where the annual “grudge match” will be played between the biggest smack talkers of the day.

Safe to say Wayne will be part of the grudge match. He gets my vote for best smack talker in kubb.
