So you like kubb tournaments? June is for you! This month there’s kubb from Maryland to Kansas and lots in between!
Things start with the Maryland Kubb Championship. There’s been a kubb tournament in Have de Grace for a few years now, and it continues to grow in size and skill. Go for the kubb (or beer?) and stay for the people (and kubb?).
Next up is Kubbing to Kick Cancer. This tournament’s been raising money for the American Cancer Society for over a decade now. There’s always a great spread of talent from newbies to champions. Kasson is notorious for its bouncy grass and (sometimes? often?) extreme weather, but that just adds to the fun atmosphere and good cause.
“Toto, I’ve a feeling we [are] in Kansas” is something you could say if you head to Lindsborg for their Midsummer’s Festival. This kubb tournament has been held since 2013, so they must be doing something right!
The second (of three) Kubbapalooza installments is next on the list. This time you get to dig your toes into some sand at Our Place Sports Bar. The Sand Games are sure to be a knock-down good time like all Kubbapalooza events!
And last, but not least, we come to the Pre-Championship Tournament, known as “The Pre” these days. Get your Natty’s team together and warm up on the same grass the National Championship is held on a few weeks later. After the tournament, head over to the U.S. National Championship live draw party to see what group your team will end up.
