ELY, Minn. — It’s almost time for the annual Ely Winter Festival and the kubb tournament that goes with it. Now in its seventh year, the Ely Winter Festival Kubb Tournament will take place on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Whiteside Park.
As in years past, this tournament will utilize the U.S. National Kubb Championship rules and the Klassic system tournament format. The first game will kick off at 9 a.m. and there will be a lunch break at 12:30 p.m. for an hour. Rounds will be single-game matches with a 25 minute time limit. After lunch, championship and consolation brackets will be seeded. Teams may consist of two to six players each.
The tournament will be held in all weather conditions, so keep an eye on it and dress appropriately!
