It’s fall ya’ll, but there’s plenty of kubb still to be played. October has a pretty solid schedule with something for everyone. First up, America’s very own six-person tournament in Dallas, Wisconsin. Since 2009 this one’s been a part of the little town of Dallas’s Oktoberfest. It’s the second oldest tourney in North America, and the only six-person event this side of the pond.
If six-person teams is a bit much for you, the East Coast Kubb Championship in Raleigh, North Carolina might be more your speed. This doubles tournament is a perfect opportunity to measure yourself against the burgeoning East Coast kubb scene.
If two is still large of a team in your mind, the 1v1 Kubb World Championship is the answer. Measure yourself against some of the top talent in the country (and world?) mano a mano. New this year they’ll be splitting into men’s and women’s divisions. You’ll also get to play out your spot, so no T17 at this event. That’s a full day of kubb matches, even if you have a bad game early.
