July is another huge month for kubb tournaments! We kick things off in Eau Claire with the U.S. Junior National Kubb Championship on July 12, followed by two days of the U.S. National Kubb Championship. It’s the biggest tourney around, and this year it’s even bigger—144 teams! It’s worth getting to championship weekend early enough to catch the junior championship, as they will quite literally be the non-junior champions of tomorrow.
Next up, the Wisconsin State Kubb Championship returns! Here’s an opportunity to show your family a good time in the Wisconsin Dells, while you sneak off to satisfy your baton throwing addiction. It’s sure to be a good time with good jams.
The American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis has been growing its kubb scene the last few years with a late fall league, and now they’re going to dip their toes (back?) into the tourney waters. They’re hosting a Sunday tournament on their beautiful institute grounds. Be sure to check out the exhibits while you’re there!
