HAVRE DE GRACE, Maryland. — The East Coast Kubb Championship is back for the fifth year, but in Maryland for the first time. This tournament will take place at Hopkins Farm Brewery in Havre De Grace. The tournament, hosted by Old Line Kubb, will be using the U.S. National Kubb Championship® Rules V3.2b. with the exception of three rules. No player may throw more than three batons per round, the Neighbor Rule will be used, and the center pin can be removed for the baton throwing phase.
The tournament will start with seven qualifying rounds of play using the Klassic system, with each round lasting a maximum of 25 minutes. Those top eight teams will be seeded into the championship bracket and the rest will be seeded into the silver bracket, with each team guaranteed at least eight games of kubb. The tournament will be using kubb sets from Country Kubb.
Sign-in will open at 7:45 a.m., with a team meeting at 8:45 a.m. Play will begin at 9 a.m. You can register your team on the East Coast Kubb Championship website now for a cost of $40 per team. Food and beverages are permitted, but all alcoholic beverages must be purchased from Hopkins Farm Brewery. EZ-Up tents are also permitted and space is first come first serve.
