Tournament Canceled
The minimum number of teams was not reached, and the this year’s tournament has been canceled.
Superior, Wisc. — Kubb is returning to a frozen Lake Superior with the second annual Lake Superior Ice Festival Kubb Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 30. The tournament will start with round-robin play in the morning, followed by bracket play in the afternoon. The U.S. National rules with the addition of the Neighbor Rule will be in effect. Up too 24 teams (minimum two players each) can compete, but registration closes on New Year’s Eve, so go register now!
A number of safety precautions are being taken in recognition of the current COVID-19 pandemic:
- No food or beverage will be provided, but players are encouraged to bring their own or buy from a safe vendor at the festival.
- Only two registered players will be will be permitted in the yurt at a time, with masks being required.
- Players are encouraged to practice social distancing during the tournament, and expected to stay home if they are not feeling well.
