Just like last year, the Kubb On staff decided it would be fun to break down the bracket and make some predictions. In this article, the staff will look more in-depth at a portion of the bracket and guess who they believe will advance to Sunday. For reference, check out the official groups and bracket.
Kubb On would like to remind everyone that this is all just for fun. The staff doesn’t claim to know every team or every player, but it’s too intriguing not to at least speculate.
There doesn’t seem to be any known teams in the way of KubbUnited.com (2nd) or Chaska Red (T5) making a return to Sunday this year. The other two spots will probably be filled with Skol, a team comprised of veterans of this event including National Champion Evan Fitzgerald, and Beauty School Dropouts (T9). The Kubb Snipers, a team of serious competitors from Michigan and Wisconsin, or Swedish Neighborhood Thieves could threaten their spots if they aren’t careful.

Dark Horses
Spot two should be the favored path for the Kubb Squirrels (T13) but the tough Skol team and Kubb Snipers could see them miss Sunday completely or wind up in the first quarter. Chaska White will probably run up against the quarter favorite KubbUnited.com, but a Chaska team is always tough competition.
Other teams to watch: King Kung, Vallstars
Potential Matchup to Watch
- Kubb Snipers or Kubb Squirrels versus Skol
Whoever gets out of Group S will most likely have to face Skol and all three teams will be fighting hard to stay alive in the tournament. The team that loses will be a great team that has to go home early.
