EAU CLAIRE, Wisc. — The sixth annual Kubb 1v1 World Championship will be hosted once again by the Chaska Kubb Club. There is a date and location change for 2019 though. This year, the championship will be held Friday, July 12 at 2 p.m. at the Eau Claire Soccer Park in Eau Claire. The tournament will now become a part of Kubb Championship Weekend, and immediately follow the U.S. Junior Kubb National Championship on Friday.
The tournament will run similarly to the U.S. Championship format with group play to start the day which will seed players into bracket play until a champion is crowned. Currently there are about 40 competitors signed up from seven states, Sweden and Germany. Registration is capped at 64 players and registration closes on June 28, so make sure you register today! All participants are asked to bring a regulation set with them to the tournament to ensure there are enough sets for the tournament.
