Kubb Match Monday episode seven takes us to the World Kubb Championship (VM) in Rone, Gotland, Sweden. Chaska Kubb traveled to the VM for the second time in 2018. This what they experienced on day one of the two-day tournament during their five-team group play. Up until this point during their week long stay on Gotland, Chaska had not been playing their best. Fortunately for them, their game started show up as the tournament drew nearer. Chaska managed to go six-for-six in one of their games on this day. For any American viewers, the VM allows the baton to rotate up to 90 degrees horizontally on the vertical axis of the baton. Chaska worked to have this shot (referred to as the “snow plow”) in their arsenal after being defeated in 2016 by this throw against Joakim Ekelof of team Berras Sorkars in the quarterfinals.
