STOUGHTON, Wisc. – The Stoughton Kubb Invitational has reached its fifth year and will be hosted again at Virgin Lake Park in Stoughton. Each year has brought a good mix of both local and regional teams of two to six players. Last year, trophies were laser engraved king daggers, and this year’s trophies will not disappoint!
Format will consist of the Klassic style with eight, single game, 25 minute matches to seed the top eight teams into the championship bracket. The next 16 teams will make up the consolation bracket. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in the championship bracket. Pitches will have stakes and the 50 percent in rule will apply.
Proceeds from the event will go to support local charities. There will be free prizes throughout the day provided by King Oscar. A raffle will be also be held for a viking battle axe. Sons of Norway Mandt Lodge will have food available to purchase.
The Stoughton Kubb Invitational is the third tournament in the Cheddar Curtain Tour. After two tournaments, Kubb Snipers lead the team standings with Chad Bevers and Matt Green tied for the individual lead.
