SOUTH PASADENA, Calif. — The third annual West Coast Kubb Championships will take place on Sunday, April 22, 2018. The L.A. Kubb Club will once again play host at Orange Grove Park in sunny South Pasadena.
Teams must have a minimum of two players, with a maximum of six. Registration is $50 per team and can be paid online or day-of at the tournament. All teams must pre-register, however. If you don’t have a teammate or want to mix things up, players can register for $25 as singles and be assigned a team by the tournament director.
The wonderful Southern California weather is a perfect setting for kubb, but don’t forget your sunscreen! Last year’s tournament was won by the Skoly Rollors (Evan Fitzgerald, Michelle Fitzgerald, Christopher Jones) of Illinois and Minnesota. With the growth of the sport and recent success of local players, will this year see a California team take home the top prize? One thing is for sure—this will be a fun and competitive tournament you won’t want to miss.

Michelle and I love this one. Hope to see some more traveling players this year! And new locals as well.
